Rehabilitation for Personal Injuries with Treatment from Our Camarillo Chiropractor

At Camarillo Holistic and Chiropractic Center, we offer three phases of care - relief, restorative or rehabilitative, and wellness. Once we have relieved the initial pain you are experiencing due to some type of personal injury accident, we begin the rehabilitation process.

During this stage we may combine chiropractic care and other therapeutic techniques to help your muscles and tissues heal more completely, and restore your full range of motion. Our goal is to return you to the level of functioning you had before your personal injury, and perhaps more, if you were already feeling some loss of mobility due to other factors. This phase may take several months, depending on the severity of your injuries and your overall health status.

Your personal injury may be the result of a work-related accident, auto accident or sports-related incident. These accidents may have resulted in whiplash, a spinal misalignment or a herniated disc that are causing back pain and neck pain. During your first appointment, our Camarillo chiropractor, Dr. James Aylor, DC, will assess the extent of your injuries and provide a pain management plan. He will then recommend an all-natural rehabilitation program that may include hands-on chiropractic care and physical therapy to relieve pain and further enhance healing.

Pain Relief for Your Back Pain and Neck Pain

One component of your rehabilitation plan may consist of chiropractic care. During this phase Dr. Aylor, DC may use spinal alignment and adjustment techniques to find any vertebrae that are out of place, or herniated discs, and bring them back into position. This spinal alignment will restore strength to your inner core and alleviate pressure on nerve endings that may be causing pain in other areas of your body.

If you have suffered whiplash as the result of a collision, chiropractic care will help restore strength and mobility to the cervical portion of your spinal column and its surrounding tissues. He may also use gentle massage techniques to loosen muscles that may have become tightened, and will apply heat treatments to support the healing process.

As a complementary process to her hands-on chiropractic treatments, Dr. Aylor, DC may also prescribe a physical therapy regimen. Through core building and strengthening exercises, physical therapy is designed to slowly rebuild your body’s muscles until they can once again support your back, neck and joints so you can engage in physical activities. This may consist of starting with a few stretching and weight-bearing exercises to help loosen your muscles and begin the rebuilding process. As you gain ability, we will gradually increase the intensity of these exercises until you are back at full functioning. We may prescribe activities you can complete at home to supplement our in-office procedures.

If you have experienced any type of personal injury come see the professional healthcare team at Camarillo Holistic and Chiropractic Center and let us use the all-natural chiropractic approach to help you get through the rehabilitative process.
